I’m Alive!!!
Well, not entirely :))
I’ll be changing the blog’s look for my WEBDEV2 class, since our topic is about Tumblr customization :3
There will be no posts for now, but I’ll be back by Summer. I promise :)

Sorry for the lack of update, I had too much fun during Christmas break after the finals week in school, that I totally forgot about updating this blog :c
I’m not sure if I can post for a couple of weeks in this blog since school has already started and I’m pretty sure work will pile up soon. I will never abandon this blog completely, I’ll try to find some time to redo the blog’s layout, design and posts soon.
But if you’re bored to death and impatient, you are free to unfollow. :c T.T
For my awesome followers who continuously support me. THANK YOU :3
I hope to see you soon!
Hi awesome followers :)
I’ll be on hiatus until the third week of December. I’ll be too busy finishing my projects for school, but I’ll be back (with a better blog design and awesome entries)! :) I hope you stay tuned! :3

We started almost immediately with the exercises in 3DANIM2. I really enjoy 3D, even though I suck at it at times. Our professor gave us a model of a car. We were asked to properly put a texture in it using unfold tool in the UV map. It was really hard since I barely know what was happening when I started pressing the unfold button. I finally got the trick after a while, and started to use the so-called ‘blue print’ of our car and customized it using Adobe Photoshop. I know my design is too pansy, I just can’t help but not use my favorite complimentary colors (Violet and Yellow) in almost all of my projects and homeworks (especially purple, too obvious not to notice). Anyway, after customizing our car, we proceeded to render it in a way that would make it look ‘real’ It’s far from the perfect ‘real’ but I’m still happy that I was able to make it!
Some photos during my walk cycle line test in 2DANIM2. Click here for the video post.
Our first homework after the midterms in 2DANIM2 was to create a walk cycle for a faceless dude and one of our own characters. I was really unsure about my work since I really don’t like to think about anticipating body movements or positions (especially in animation) I seriously suck at it, so it was really a bit of a surprise for me that my walk cycle under the line test (the machine that plays all your drawing, it’s like a computerized flipbook) was decent enough. Yey for me I guess :P I’ll post photos about the line test in a different entry.

For our midterm requirements in WEBDEV1, we were asked to fill up some sort of concept paper about our final project. Our professor provided the so-called “project sheet” and we were just asked to fill it up, and also include 3 design studies for our final project. Here are some details about it:
Title of Website
The Walled City
Slogan
“Explore Intramuros, Experience Heritage”
Objectives of the Website
The website aims to showcase selected, wonderful sites found in Intramuros, Manila. It seeks to entice local and foreign tourists to visit the ‘Walled City’. The website will be a great place for tourists to plan their tour in Intramuros by being able to view the hot spots of the said place.
Visualization Concept
The website will have a modern, clean, minimalistic tone to exude some sort of respect (due to its history) from its visitors. However, there will be a touch of antiquity within its modern tone to have a reminiscent feel of the past.
Layout Style
Hybrid layouts of ‘Clean’ and ‘Visual Impact’ have been chosen for this project to fully encapsulate the concept of ‘Modernity with a touch of Antiquity’. A ‘Clean’ layout was chosen to make navigation (for an ‘Average’ or ‘Below Average’ computer user) easier and to make the entire layout free of clutter since this the website –after all– is a historical location that demands respect from its visitors. ‘Visual Impact’ has been chosen to showcase beautiful imagery of Intramuros.
The designs are still not final, but my professor already liked my second layout. I have to revise it for my own personal preference.
We had another on-the-spot midterms test, but now it’s for 3DANIM2. Since 3DANIM2 is all about how to make your 3D model look all real, pretty and sparkly, our professor provided the 3D model for our exam. It was a billiards room. We were tasked (in 3 hours) to finish ‘painting’ the 3D to make it look real. Since I find it boring to follow the traditional way of making a billiards room into its typical wooden theme, I chose a weird theme of Pop Art. Meh! Actually, I’m not sure what theme I had in mind, I was more worried about if I can actually make it on time. I chose vibrant colors in my model and selected Andy Warhol’s famous artwork of Marilyn Monroe and made it into a retro looking billiards room. Well anyway, I’m pretty satisfied on how it looked like in the end.

Photoshoot for my CNCTPHO (Concept Photography) class.
One of our midterm requirements in CNCTPHO is to submit all our plates in hard copy. I had a hard time layouting this since I was making my other projects for midterm, anyway, here it is.
